Tujtu Nina (Flower of Fire) - this flower is used during the ‘Atun Puncha’ or Carnival of Forgiveness. A special day where people celebrate collaboration, peace, and unity among the indigenous communities. During the ceremony, the Inga people place on each other's heads the petals of this flower as a symbol of respect and forgiveness. This flower represents what they called the ´kausankamalla’ which means ‘as long as we live, let's live well’.
